The President Dismisses Board of Visitors for Service Academies

This morning, President Trump posted on his social media his plans for the Board of Visitors of the service academies while acknowledging what STARRS and others have said for a long time: the leftwing woke mind virus has infected the service academies.

Our Service Academies have been infiltrated by Woke Leftist Ideologues over the last four years.

I have ordered the immediate dismissal of the Board of Visitors for the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Coast Guard.

We will have the strongest Military in History, and that begins by appointing new individuals to these Boards.

We must make the Military Academies GREAT AGAIN!”

The announcement trended on X with tens of thousands of people happy and in great support about this.

Biden’s firing of all Trump appointees on the Board of Visitors in 2021 was an issue that STARRS–and especially its General Counsel Mike Rose–has worked on ever since, including bringing the case up to the highest courts.

STARRS, MacArthur Society and Calvert Task Group members have attended Board of Visitors meetings for all three service academies and have found them to be controlled “dog-and-pony” shows with little oversight  or pushback from the BOV members. It seemed a useless exercise.

All three groups encouraged submitting public statements to these meetings, but as can be expected, the boards were ignoring them.

USNA Board of Visitors meeting in Annapolis in 2024:

USMA Board of Visitors meeting in March 2024:

That time we reported that “Duty, Honor, Country” was being taken out of West Point’s mission statement and Americans were incensed:

When we say these are controlled dog-and-pony shows, we’re not kidding. Here was who attended the March 2024 meeting in Washington, DC from West Point, NY. Quite the travel expense. There were more of them than of the Board.

These are impressive shows along with showcasing the best cadets. It’s designed to purposefully squelch any pushback or overwhelm questions raised about problems/issues if dared asked (none dared).
