West Point Grad: Sen. Slotkin unsuited to be on the West Point Board of Visitors
Letter from a 1971 West Point graduate to Senator Jack Reed expressing concern over Sen. Slotkin being a member of the West Point Board of Visitors:

Subject: USMA Board of Visitors Designee – Senator Slotkin
Dear Senator Reed:
I continue to be concerned with the USMA Board of Visitors (BoV) as expressed in prior correspondence. It is my understanding that Senator Elissa Slotkin is your current designee to the USMA BoV.
Senator Slotkin and five other serving U.S. Senators and Congressmen/women this past week released a video calling on U.S. Service members to disobey “illegal” orders. This was released via Senator Slotkin’s media accounts, so I assume that she was the organizer of this group. The content of this video is unnecessary and clearly politically motivated!
As such, it indicates that Senator Slotkin is unsuited to be your designee on the USMA BoV. She cannot bring a balanced and unbiased perspective to the USMA BoV.
I strongly request that you immediately replace her with a thoughtful designee on the USMA BoV.
Sincerely,
Walter Heinz
USMA Class 1971
