You may have received the below email from the AOG with a ballot and instructions for filing it. Check your email files for it.
If you haven’t filled out your ballot, please consider making William A Fletcher, Jr Class of 1974 as your proxy to vote for you at the upcoming AOG Annual Meeting.
Bill will be present at the meeting and vote “No confidence” or “Present” for the selectees and “No” on both Amendments, which raise the number of signatures for petition nominees for 1,000 to 2,700. USAFA requires only 100!
If this is the first time you have received this ballot, please let us know as well. You should have had 30 days notice and with the election being held on Nov 18th, you clearly do not have the required notice time period.
Thanks for your support.

Subject: West Point AOG Proxy Vote for the 2025 Annual Meeting
Dear Members of the Long Gray Line,
The 2025 Annual Meeting of the West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) will be held at 5:00 p.m. Eastern time on November 18, 2025, in the James K. Herbert Alumni Center, West Point, NY. The business of the meeting will be to elect five members to our Board of Directors and six members to our Advisory Council, and vote on a proposed Bylaws amendment. We are encouraging everyone to submit their proxy electronically.
Please do not forward the voting link below to anyone, as it is associated with your email address and may only be used one time.

The graduates were selected on August 16 by the 2025 WPAOG Nominating Committee, made up of 13 members representing the Long Gray Line from the classes of 1967 to 2020. Their experiences include full military service, longtime involvement with West Point, broad volunteerism through society and class leadership, and deep and valuable skill sets in both corporate and not-for-profit sectors.
To view the biographies of each candidate, please click on the link in the “How to Vote” box and download the PDF document. When it comes time to fill out the proxy, you may vote for as few or as many of the candidates as you wish.
You may assign your proxy to Patrick O. Ortland ’82, the Secretary of the Association, who will be present at the meeting to register your vote as you have specified it, or you may assign the proxy to another graduate. One caution, however: if you choose to do the latter, be sure that this person will be attending the meeting, or your vote will not count.
It is essential that we have strong, committed governing bodies dedicated to the mission of your Association of Graduates—Serving West Point and the Long Gray Line—creating greater connections with the Academy and each other. Together, we carry forward the ideals of Duty, Honor, Country by honoring and preserving our history while embracing innovation and growth towards our future. We encourage you to be part of selecting your leadership.
Grip Hands,
Mark D. Bieger ’91
